As a young lad, growing up in industrial Wigan, I loved going up to the Lancaster canal to fish in 1950s-1960's. My uncle, and my mates father had cars and took us kids with them.

I particularly remember Garstang and Salwick. The Kopper Kettle comes to mind but not sure of it's location.
